Who has not watched the beloved TV show, Doraemon? I’m sure everyone from my generation has! Now, our favorite robot-cat and Nobita will make us cry buckets of tears again and reminisce our childhood with their story finally hitting the big screen–and in 3D, at that!
“Stand By Me, Doraemon” revolves around the story of the characters we grew up with. It’s a story of friendship with valuable lessons you’ll pick up as the film progresses.
Although I must say that they tackled more on Nobita’s journey to winning Sue’s heart rather than the usual bullying and asaran we see on the television, it is still entertaining, funny, and will tug at your heartstrings, all in all. One moment you’re laughing as Big G gets inside the large egg that makes it fall in love with the person he sees first once he gets out of it (one of Doraemon’s gadgets, of course), next you’re getting kilig as Sue rescues Nobita from his depression, and finally you’re tearing up as Nobita and Doraemon faces an inevitable goodbye. It’s a feel-good movie to watch with the whole family or with your barkada for a walk down the memory lane.
