There are so many places to eat in BF Homes that it can be quite hard to decide where to go when out with your friends, family or significant others. One of my current favorite spots in BF at the moment, though, is Spoon Eat+Drink.
Located in Phase 3 of BF Homes, Paranaque, on the second floor of a building in front of the new McDonald’s, Spoon Eat+Drink surprises guests with gorgeous interiors that are every Instagram lover’s dream.
They even have a hugot board!
The place isn’t as photogenic as it is in person, though; but trust me when I say that it is absolutely beautiful there (make sure to check out their balcony at night!)
My friends had been telling me about Spoon for a while now, but it isn’t until recently that I was actually able to go and try out the food myself and I must say: the food at Spoon does not disappoint a single bit. There wasn’t a single dish that we didn’t devour until the plate was absolutely empty (had I been alone, I may have even licked the sauce off of the plates).
(Real) Mushroom Soup (Php135)
It doesn’t look like much with just that little lone mushroom sitting in there, but believe me when I tell you that this is one of the most flavourful mushroom soups I have ever tasted! The flavor is rich, the soup is creamy – it’s everything a mushroom soup lover could ask for!
Bacon Wrapped Vegetables (Php200)
Skewered and grilled, the artisanal bacon pieces in this dish are wrapped around cherry tomatoes and oyster mushrooms, delivering the juiciest and most delicious bacon dish out there! I am generally not a fan of bacon at all, but this kept me wanting more. I don’t even have any words to properly describe it. The smoky flavor goes very well with the dill pickle relish dip, too.
Lamb Burger Munchies (Php350)
Love lamb? Try their lamb burgers! Served in servings of three small hamburgers, this dish is perfect for sharing. (However, if you’re the only one in the group in the mood for a burger, you can also get the single Lamb Burger at Php390.) You can even choose your dressing depending on your mood of the day. They’ve got creamy herb, sriracha lime and garlicky mustard.
Periperi Sticks (Php210)
Most of the time, when I eat barbecue sticks, I have one and then I’m good. The chicken barbecue at Spoon, however, is so tender, you can order it and share it with a few orders of rice and your bellies will be satisfied – guaranteed! Again: if you’re the only one in the mood for chicken, though, you can order the single Chicken Periperi at Php280.
Osso Bucco (Php355)
The osso bucco came highly recommended by the waiters of Spoon, and I completely understand why. Aside from being flavourful and delicious, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find the bone marrow in the bowl – so good! In fact, the sauce in itself is good enough to be used as ulam. Make sure to get a side of their Smashed Potato (Php50), too, if you’re a fan of potatoes.
Italian Sodas in Kiwi, Berry and Peach (Php50 each)
As for drinks, these are the sodas you will keep coming back for! The Italian sodas at Spoon Eat+Drink come in three different flavors and you can choose one based on your preference. I chose the Peach one and it was exactly the right flavor for me! Just make sure you mix the drink properly or all of the sweetness will go to the bottom and the flavor might end up being too sweet for your taste.
Rise and Shine (Php185)
And the dessert? My goodness. If they sold the banana bread of their Rise and Shine separately, I would bring a whole bunch of it home. Unbelievably. Good.
