The ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ trailer was released earlier this week and after posting it on our site, several readers commented that Peter Parker’s best friend Ned Leeds looked Filipino. As such, we decided to look into it and it turns out that Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned, is actually half Filipino!
Various media outlets say that Jacob is Filipino-American and was born and raised in Hawaii. He then went to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts for two years before getting his big break in Hollywood.
Jacob was also in the movie ‘North Woods’, where a group of film students plan to shoot a documentary on the Wendigo, not knowing that something is actually lurking in the woods.
