That is exactly what people do at the annual Spark Lantern Festival in Ilocos. This year, the Spark Lantern Festival is happening on April 29, 2016, 7pm, and promises to be the biggest celebration of lights, music and colours.

In celebration of summer, Triple 8 Travel and Tours will organize “SPARK – Let the Colors Ignite” at the tranquil and fine-looking sand dunes of Paoay, Ilocos Norte. The illumination of lanterns – the visual effect in the sky ignites certain feeling of romance, love and magic while we will also utlize and feature other forms of light techniques – glowing balloons, fire dancers, lights and sounds, flashlights.
