SLAMMED: I Regret Nothing

The Arts Management program of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde prepare their students with courses relevant to the needs of the professional art-sphere which allow them to expertly and independently assemble a wide array of creative productions. With this, the students are to create an event that will allow them to apply the things they have learned so far in the course of Arts Management. In closing the 2014-2015 academic term, we proudly present and invite you to be a part of the first formally organized slam poetry competition in De la Salle College of Saint Benilde, SLAMMED: I Regret Nothing, that will take place on March 13, 2015 at the DLS-CSB’s School of Design and Arts’ 6/F Black Box.

SLAMMED: I Regret Nothing is a slam poetry competition composed of 7 contests to present their uniquely written spoken-word poems. The organizers aim to create an avenue and build publicity for young poets to showcase their work in front of a live audience. More importantly, The organizers would like to increase the exposure slam poetry to a bigger audience.

On the 13th of March 2015 at 6:30PM, SLAMMED: I Regret Nothing will encapsulate the theme, “I Regret Nothing”. Slammed MNL’s vision is to create a platform for a young, Filipino poets to performers on stage his or her original work. True to the nature of slam poetry, we intend to provoke thoughts and emotions in our audience while recreating awareness on timeless ways of expression: poetry and theatre. SLAMMED: I Regret Nothing is an avenue for poets to express their emotions and to challenge themselves as poets to achieve their highest potential on their abilities in performing and poetry.
