When in Manila, it can’t get even more exciting than discovering the newest hip spot to hang out. And when it comes to the hippest places in the metro today, nothing tops Skye at The Fort BGC.

Sitting on the roofdeck of the W building at Bonifacio Highstreet, Skye brings an innovative spin to the usual lounge party experience. Being first rooftop lounge in Manila, Skye offers something completely new to the partyphile that has been there and done that, and takes high-class lounging to the next level, albeit quite literally. I love how Skye manages to merge its upscale façade with its laid back ambiance with such ease.

On weekdays, Skye turns into the perfect mid-week relief for corporate yuppies caught up in the frenzy of the work week. You can sit back and take in the panoramic view of the metro while enjoying a quiet drink or two with friends or workmates. During weekends though, you would see Skye in its entire party-going splendor. The place is packed to the brim with ladies and young men polished and decked in their fanciest threads. Skye is definitely the perfect place for a dressed up night out in town!
Everything about Skye gives off an ultra cool vibe, from the chic and cozy orange couches that boarder the roof deck, to the faux grass at your feet, and the ample-sized mini pool right next to the bar. Yet what surely takes the cake is the expansive and unadulterated view of the dazzling Bonifacio Global City skyline at your every turn. Partying under the night sky surely is a breath of fresh air from the constricting walls of Manila’s packed commercial bars and lounges.

Munchies and drinks at Skye
Skye serves up an assortment of tapas to accompany their wide range of drinks and cocktails. We were served their Tapas Dechado, which is an appetizer sampler with three tapas varieties of your choice. We picked out the Gambas Al Ajillo (Sauteed shrimp with roasted pimiento, garlic, and chillies ), Gambas con Aligue (Sauteed shrimp in crab fat with garlic and chillies), and Salpicao (Sauteed beef tenderloin with roasted garlic and chillies). We also got to try the Ostras Rockefeller (Baked oysters served in half shell) and Patatas Bravas (Spicy potato wedges in special sauce). They were the perfect morsels to nibble in between hearty sips of the Skye signature cocktails. Skye also offers happy hour from 5-8pm, where you can get a 4 + 1 deal on local beers and 2 + 1 for signature cocktails. Sounds fun!

Overall it turned out to be such an awesome night out for us girls. Aside from the great music and the super fun company, what really made our night was the breath-taking view of the sparkling moon with the wind in our hair! That on its own was totally priceless! So when in Manila, be sure to count the Skye W High Street in on your next night out!
