Sine Tanglaw Films will be organizing the First Short Filmmaking Camp on May 10-11, 2014 at Gems Hotel and Resort in Antipolo City. 

 

The First Sine Tanglaw Short Filmmaking Camp is filled with two days and two nights of interactive filmmaking workshops, cocktail pool parties, team building games & film screenings. Another activity, the 100-Second Film Challenge, will set the campers to make a 100-second film in just three hours. This event aims to gather young filmmakers, film students from various universities in the country as well as movie lovers.

 

The campers will be led by some of the Philippine film industry’s bests. The mentors will introduce the basics in filmmaking, their personal experiences when they were just starting out, and what they did to be in their positions today. Interaction, fun and experience are implemented in all of the workshops.

Jasmine Curtis-Smith (Best Supporting Actress, Cinemalaya Film Festival Transit)

Eduardo Roy, Jr. (Berlin Int’l Film Festival Finalist for Quick Change)

Bianca Balbuena (Producer of Above The Clouds, also known for Engkwentro)

Carlo Mendoza (FAMAS Best Cinematography for El Presidente, Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story)

Emmanuel Dela Cruz (Writer and Director, Slumber Party)

J.E. Tiglao (Best Director of Cinemalaya Film Festival for Onang and Tropfest SEA finalist for Gamu-Gamo Sa Takipsilim)

Benjamin Tolentino (Two time Best Editor of Cinemalaya Film Festival for Isda and Transit)

Adi Bontuyan (Special Jury Prize and Audience Choice award in the Cinemalaya Film Festival for Tayá)

 

The event fee for the camp is only Php 3,999. This is inclusive of two days and two nights of hotel accommodation (including breakfast, lunch and dinner), cocktail pool party, film workshops and certificate of attendance.
