How well do you know your food?

Do you know where it came from? Do you know who and how it was harvested? In this fast-paced life, you tend to forget the important things in life: health, family, and friends.

And in this day and age, we tend to expedite things to save time. This method applies to preparing our food as well. We want faster results than quality. Don’t fret, as I am like that too. I order fast food so I can work faster. Little did we know, our bodies react to these unsolicited enzymes found in our food. As a result, we get sick and develop these chronic diseases.

As luck would have it, there are organizations and companies that support organic products and local farmers, as well as, encourage the community to go local and switch to a healthier lifestyle. Such is the Filipino-inspired restaurant in Tagaytay City, Siglo Modern Filipino.

Madrid Fusion Siglo Modern

Siglo Modern Filipino was one of the participants of Madrid Fusion Manila 2017 under the Department of Tourism’s CALABARZON region. They presented a patriotic dish called “Florante at Laura” using local organic ingredients, especially, their flavorful, Alugbati sauce, which became the superstar during the event.

What is Farm to Fork 2017 all about?
