I have always been a fan of scarves. I think it adds drama to any outfit, what with their Parisian or Londoner feel (I know, crazy right?). Wearing scarves has never been much of a compliment to our tropical weather. However, ever since the mid-2000s, scarves have started to become more of a fashion statement rather than a matter of practicality.
Starting as a requirement for their university degrees, Casey and Thea came up with the idea of putting up Renouveau to provide the market with quality fashion accessories within an affordable price range. They started out with the Solace fit-clip, which it allows the user to alter or tighten their clothing without permanent change. Ladies from the 80s might actually be familiar with this particular fashion piece as Renouveau revived it from that era!
They eventually resorted to making more fashion accessories, including the cloth necklaces and scarves that they released in late 2013.”Our cloth necklaces are made by Thea and the colors are handpicked by the both of us. As for our scarves, we have two types: the classic infinity/circular scarf and the (in)finity scarf. The classic infinity scarf comes in cotton and chiffon print, all of which are limited in stocks. As for the (in)finity scarf, the unique part of this is that it provides the style of the infinity scarf and the regular rectangular scarf. Buttons are attached to the edges of the scarf allowing the user to either have it as an infinity scarf or a regular shawl or rectangular scarf,” Casey shared, giving us a detailed description of their product.
This isn’t just a matter of gaining profit for the two of them, either. They shared that their first collection of Solace fit-clips were actually made by mothers from Gawad Kalinga Red Carpet.
