Satchmi Store Launch: Bringing Back the Joy of Vinyls to Manila
Cafes are springing up here and there. Owners continue to conceptualize and create new concept,s which will make them rise above the rest. So, what’s a good mix to your coffee? Well, art and music, of course! Add another twist to that and we have Satchmi: a lifestyle cafe that features arts on walls and music on vinyls. Yes, you guys. Vinyls. Isn’t that uniquely awesome and awesomely unique? Satchmi’s been bringing back the joy of vinyls and because of this, they already opened up an actual store in SM Megamall!
Satchmi store and lifestyle cafe has on soft opening mode since September, but it was only this month that they had their full-blown grand opening. The event featured a live art demo, latte art demo, performances from music artists, and the demo plus a raffle of the Motorino, a Satchmi exclusive. The Motorino is a portable vinyl player, which can run up to eight hours on battery.

Satchmi’s special blends energized the music artists who made the night alive and kept the energy high throughout the event. Diego Mapa gave us awesome mixes on actual vinyls turned on a turntable; while Birdfirms, Reese & Vica, and BP Valenzuela shared with us their eargasming own music and personal covers.

The visual artists had their own share of caffeine happiness, too! They gave us a glimpse of their talents through personalizing three white Motorinos with their personal art styles. One lucky person even got to take home one of them!

Other than the talents that overflowed in Satchmi that night, it was the overall concept of Satchmi that made everything about For the Record, well, for the record. Surely, with its unique purpose of bringing back the joy of vinyl records (they even have recent album releases on vinyl!), Satchmi will go a long way and will be awesome for a long, long time. We’re looking forward to more cool stuff, Satchmi!
