San Miguel Lifestyle Brews: Bites and Brews Bar Crawl, a Night of Great Beer, Fun and Food!
When In Manila, experience a bar hopping experience like no other. Four of the hottest bars in the Metro and pairing their delicious specialties with San Miguel’s Lifestyle Brews!
“Bar Hopping” has been in the scene for as long as I can remember. I personally call it the Saturday heartbeat. Everyone’s pulse is at top speed, 1 bar/club is not enough for the night. Hence, “Bar hopping or bar crawling” is gaining popularity.
San Miguel has once again taken it a notch higher with the San Miguel Lifestyle Brews Bites and Brews Bar Crawl—A series of beer and food events that allows bar crawlers to savor their favorite Lifestyle Brews (San Miguel Premium All Malt, Super dry and Cerveza Negra)
Have you ever tried wine pairing? Different kinds of wine and their specific notes compliment a certain dish. I never thought we may also do that with beer. Not just savory dishes but also dessert!
To start the night, everyone gathered at the San Miguel Head office to meet one another before we were shuttled off to our first destination!
In attendance we had the cutest celebrity couple: Aubrey Miles and Troy Montero. The beautiful kick-ass duo of the DJ group The Zombettes: Sanya Smith and Ornussa Cadness and Radio DJ hottie Karen Bordador.
The night was hosted by none other than Radio DJ Chico Garcia and Cerah of Monster Radio RX 93.1
We met our ride for the night. Of course, knowing San Miguel we would be “shuttling” in style! The Black Fleet was a big party bus complete with lights, snacks, and a cooler full of San Miguel’s Lifestyle Brews!
Inside the Black Fleet with my company for the night my good friends Maricris and Selwyne.
Our first stop was Locale Gastropub at City Golf Plaza Compound in Ortigas. We were welcomed with San Miguel Premium All Malt’s smoothness and full flavors made from the finest grade malt paired with Local’s meaty stuffed chicken and baked Salmon.
San Miguel Premium all malt has been my favorite ever since this night! It was light, smooth, had a citrusy finish. Perfect for me. As for the saying “You are what San Miguel beer you drink” –or something like that.
The chicken and salmon were both tender, light and complimented the smooth taste of the San Miguel Premium All Malt beverage.
Next stop was the lovely Aracama at the Fort Strip. First of all, I love Aracama. I go there for a chill night with good music and amazing Filipino food so I was so eager to arrive.
There we were introduced to the to San Miguel Super Dry paired with Aracama’s special lumpiang sisig and Sinugba na Baka that perfectly matched the brew’s crisp, clean hoppy flavors and overall dry taste.
Applause to Aracama’s beautiful entrees! I’m still replaying the Sinugba na Baka in my head and would love to have seconds or thirds or fourths next time I visit!
More excitement awaited us at Cerveseria, Greenbelt. I haven’t experienced Cerveseria yet, I’m baffled as to why. The mood was wonderful.
We were welcomed with a unique dessert experience of washing down Cerveseria’s luxurious Choco Flan and Canonigo with the rich caramel tones and bold, dark flavors of the rich Cerveza Negra.
Who would have thought that beer matched a luxurious dessert? That pairing was my favorite!
To cap off the night, we head on over to Dillinger’s, Greenbelt to experience all 3 San Miguel Lifestyle Brews variants and each other’s company.
Got to meet the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet, The San Miguel brew master and Mr. Chico Garcia!
So When In Manila, get ready for a different experience with the beers that were made different to make you different!
