First of all, Sam Smith is enormously talented and successful at 25 years old. So clearly we have no reason not to expect him to finally guest star in James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, which features host James Corden driving around Los Angeles with a celeb (usually a singer!) and doing, as you guessed, karaoke. This time around, however, things took an interesting turn as Sam Smith freaked out about meeting Fifth Harmony!
The British duo first sang along to Sam’s new single “Pray”, which they very clearly crushed. Afterwards, they began jamming to a sing-along fave, Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home”. Suddenly, James stops mid-song saying, “There’s something missing” and pulls over, with Sam clearly confused because he knew he slayed it.
Lo and behold, from the rearview mirror come the 5H girls and Sam is literally stoked, saying “I’m dead!
” Then all of them have a meet-cute as the girls enter the backseat, clearly starstruck with one another!
