I heard from a lil bird that Rue Bourbon will be having a complete relaunch soon – their menu included – so I asked the friendly staff at Rue Bourbon Tagaytay to serve us the crowd favourites – you know, the ones they probably won’t get rid of in the menu coz people love them so much. Of course, their famous flavoured beers were part of the roster.

Before that night at Rue Bourbon Tagaytay, I had only ever tasted their Caramel Beer and Hazelnut Beer. So, when they offered to let us try out all of their flavoured beers in shot form (Beer shots? Yes, please!), we instantly jumped at the chance.

 

  

Rue Bourbon has 6 different flavoured beers on offer: Caramel, Hazelnut, Lychee, Apple, Cucumber and Rose. The Caramel and Hazelnut flavours aside, you might be surprised to hear that our next favorite choices are Cucumber and Rose, which both taste like candy. Were they delicious? Yes. Were we ready to commit to a Big Ass Beer in those flavours that night? No. Not really. Haha. Being the boring people that we sometimes are, we stuck to our usual Caramel and Hazelnut Big Ass Beers instead.

 

Big Ass Flavored Beer (Php120 per glass / Php280 per mug)

 

No regrets! Rue Bourbon’s Big Ass Flavored Beers are super sulit at only Php280 per mug! Instant tipsiness and happiness afterwards! If you think you won’t be able to finish a whole mug, then opt for a glass at Php120 instead. If flavoured beer isn’t for you, on the other hand, then opt for a regular Big Ass Beer. Options for everyone!

 

 

Rue Bourbon Wings (Php380)

 

The Rue Bourbon Wings are a definite must-try. They’re super tender and flavourful and Rue Bourbon has these special spicy sauces that will make every spicy food lover (like me) go crazy.

 

Meat Overload Pizza (Php430)

 

The spicy sauce goes really well with their pizza, too. I’m not a huge meat fan, but my partner in crime attests that meat lovers will love their meat overload pizza. I believe him. I only had one slice, after all, and he finished off the rest. :p

Of course, the biggest advantage that Rue Bourbon Tagaytay has over the rest of its other branches is the fact that it is located in Tagaytay, where the weather is cold, the views are spectacular and the ambiance is perfect for having lunch with your family, having drinks with your friends or going on a romantic date with your special someone. You can even go on rides at Sky Ranch if you want.

I’ve always loved Rue Bourbon, but I LOOOOOOOOOOVE Rue Bourbon Tagaytay (10 o’s for emphasis!) even more. Drop by soon, so you’ll understand what I mean!
