Rockness Monster: #InLove, Rawr Your Heart Out!

 

#InLove, the UP Sigma Delta Phi’s 81st Anniversary, calls upon this generation to find their passions, work for them and rethink what it means to be in love. The Anniversary includes four projects: the UP PowerCard, the university’s first and only privilege card for UP students and alumni, now powered by ZAPtag; Project Bata, Mag-aral Ka, an educational program created with a vision of getting indigent children motivated to go to school; the new UP Sigma Delta Phi Scholarship Grant aimed to support and empower UP students in the arts; and #InLove: The Passion Project, an inter-organization competition challenging organizations to pursue a cause or passion, and share it with as many people as possible.

 

ROCKNESS MONSTER, the anniversary culminating night, will see the UP community gathered together to celebrate a different kind of love. Guests will have the chance to Rockeoke with Moonstar88, Kjwan, 3×2, Aimless, Bata, Lights in Transit, Monohybrid, Papa’s Army, The Etiquettes, and WFC! With live music, fun booths, free flowing drinks, and monster raffle prizes, ROCKNESS MONSTER is a night where guests can just let loose and rock out #InLove!

 

The night will also be the launch of the new UP PowerCard-ZAPtag, the presentation of the UP Sigma Delta Phi Scholarship Grant recipients, and the awarding of #InLove: The Passion Project. 

 

ROCKNESS MONSTER will be held on March 14, 7:00pm, at Arts in the City, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.  Admission is free.

Founded in 1931 and recognized in 1933, UP SIGMA DELTA PHI is a premier student organization with members from various colleges of the University of the Philippines – Diliman. The sorority has pioneered several projects that have been supported by the university and have given back to its immediate communities.  Its illustrious alumnae include Winnie Monsod, Sally Perez, Ces Drilon, Araceli Dans, Angela Magsaysay-Ho, Joy Virata, Nora Daza, Celia Diaz-Laurel, and other outstanding women in various fields of endeavor.
