Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez Receive Golden Globe Nod

Husband-and-wife duo Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez are awesome. The couple broke all sorts of records with the award-winning music they composed for Disney’s “Frozen”, which catapulted Fil-Am Robert Lopez as the youngest EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winner after he received an Oscar for Best Original Song for “Let It Go”.

Not one to rest on their laurels, the two received another prestigious nomination by way of the Golden Globes, as they got a nod for “Remember Me”, an original song from the Disney/Pixar film “Coco”. Coco is also nominated for Best Animated Motion Picture.

In a statement, Robert and Kristen said:

“We are so grateful to our collaborators at Pixar for asking us to write a song that is so personally meaningful — about family, music, and saying goodbye to those you love. We couldn’t be prouder of what these filmmakers have achieved in ‘Coco’, a film that has always strived to faithfully portray and celebrate Mexican culture. Thank you to the Hollywood Foreign Press — we are humbled by your recognition.”

Congrats, guys!

Have you seen Coco? What are your thoughts on the film?
