Who won the opening stretch of the 7th Le Tour de Filipnas? Apparently, no one.

According to reports, the opening leg of the 4-leg marathon was stopped due to participants unable to continue towards the finish line on account of heavy traffic caused by road constructions in the area.

The stage was declared neutralized after participants were met with traffic in the town of Tiaong, Quezon, roughly 31 km away from the finish line in Lucena City.

It’s the first time a leg was neutralized in the event since it was established.

Participants will now have to look forward to stage 2 — especially for the individual general classification and team classification racers who were affected by the decision.

Stage 2 will run a 204-km ride from Lucena City to Daet, Camarines Norte starting early Friday morning. The course will pass through the Sierra Madre mountain range, the longest mountain range in the Philippines.

We hope the second stage would have better results. How about you?
