Get ready and be equipped with everyday self-defense skills this April 30, 2016 from 10am to 8pm at SM City Manila Cyberzone Event Center, Lower Ground Floor in RISE: Redefining Independence and Self-Empowerment, a one-day charity event for the benefit of Tahanan Sta. Luisa, a shelter providing crisis intervention, educational, socio-cultural development and livelihood assistance to abused street teenagers. With violence against women remaining to be one of the most widespread problems of human rights abuse, RISE aims to increase awareness on the alarming levels of violence against women in our society today and to help women empower themselves through basic self-defense classes.
