Ricky Lee, a known screenwriter, publishes his new book Kung Alam N’yo Lang, a collection of stories told from the perspective of children.

Kung Alam N’yo Lang is divided into four stories, which tackle the search for God, the power of imagination, bullying, dark secrets, and death. The book is targeted to both children and adults. Lee says that the book will prepare children for the real world, while it will remind adults what it’s like to be young.

The book is accompanied by illustrations by Jether Amar, Ken Bautista (Kenikenken), Diigii Daguna, and Ivan Reverente.

Kung Alam N’yo Lang will be available in bookstores next year, but is available at a discounted rate of P250 until December 31. Those interested in getting the book can contact Writers Studio at 0956-1321248 or 0932-9047852, through email at writers.studio12@gmail.com, or through the Kung Alam N’yo Lang Facebook page.

Lee is known for writing the scripts of critically-acclaimed films, including Himala, Karnal, Jose Rizal, and Anak. He has written for legendary film directors like Lino Brocka and Ishmael Bernal.

Apart from his screenplays, Lee has also written books like Para kay B Si Amapola sa 65 na Kabanata, and the screenplay manual Trip to Quiapo.
