Following up on its string of triumphs in presenting both contemporary and classical theatre productions to its audiences, Resorts World Manila (RWM) is proud to announce the official staging of the Rodgers and Hammerstein timeless masterpiece ‘The King and I’ in the celebrated stage of its Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) this September 2012.
“Resorts World Manila is well committed in advocating and promoting the talents of the Filipino artist and the Philippine Theater industry,” claimed Kerr. “Our venue, being the premier world class destination and lifestyle hub in the country, most definitely caters only to the world-class Filipino talents and performances for our patrons as well”, added Paz noting that no less than prolific concert director Mr. Freddie R. Santos will be taking the helm for the production.
Considered as one of the most beloved classics in theater, “The King and I’ boasts of its unforgettable musical highlights and moving plots of conflict, belief and love between Anna and the King which arises as our heroine tends to the King’s many children.
‘The King and I’ is the third major stage offering of Resorts World Manila after bringing the magical extravaganza Kaos and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved musical the Sound of Music which ends on May 27, 2012.
