Playing for a crowd of 23,616 fans — the biggest ever to watch a PBA game at the Mall of Asia Arena — the Beermen fulfilled its date with destiny, winning 96-89 over the Alaska Aces.

Chris Ross was the star of the night, taking home with him the finals MVP crown. Ross, not really known as an outside threat, hit four three-pointers in the game. He also scored four points in a 6-0 counter-attack that restored order for the Beermen, 82-72, and set off the celebration on SMB’s end of the stands.
