High-profile relationships have made us cynical. Just take a look at the celebrities whose marriages last months (Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries in 72 days), weeks (Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra in less than two weeks), and hours (Britney Spears and Jason Alexander in 55 hours). But we’re happy to report that on the local front, we’re doing well. Just take a look at Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez, who recently celebrated 16 years!
The two announced their anniversary on Instagram with some sweet pictures:
Muhlach posted a photo of the family, including their children Atasha and Andres, with the caption: “May 28, 2001 ❤️ @itsmecharleneg Can’t thank you enough for the person that you are and that you’ve been to me and our children. Meanwhile, Gonzalez posted a collage of the couple, saying: “Happy 16th Anniversary Bb… @agamuhlach317 ???? Thank you for the many years of love, adventure, happiness & for just being you. We are truly blessed to have you in our lives ????❤️???? They say that time flies when you are having fun & our 16 years together went by so fast. Here’s to many more years of love and adventure. The two were first introduced to each other as teenagers through Gonzalez’s cousin, but they only got to meet again in 1994 when Muhlach judged the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, which Gonzalez won. The two then starred in the show Oki Doki Doc. Their love story began when Muhlach asked permission from Gonzalez’s parents to date her, then they quickly became engaged.
They were married on May 28, 2001.
