After a fire razed the UP Faculty Center last week, different groups have decided to try and help rebuild what has been lost.
The ‘Rebuild the UP Diliman Faculty Center‘ page has come up with a list of all initiatives to rebuilt the beloved Faculty Center. It is reproduced below:
1. CAL Student Council
The CAL SC is now looking for volunteers and partnerships for #BangonKAL Initiative.

2. CSSP Student Council
We sincerely hope that everyone affected by the unfortunate tragedy involving the Faculty Center is in stable condition right now. For any immediate psychosocial needs, individuals may reach out to the OCG Wellness Committee (point persons: Dr. Bolet Bautista, Dr. Divine Love Salvador, Dr. Anna Cristina Tuazon) as well as to the University Health Service.
3. Dulaang UP
Help us build our archives once again by donating your old scripts, posters, souvenir programs, photos, videos and other substantial memorabilia.
For hard copies, you may contact Archie Clataro (63 927 244 7132) and drop them at the DUP Office, Palma Hall 136, UP Diliman.

4. Faculty Center – FB Group

This is a Public Group so anyone can ask to join.

6. BEYOND THE BURNING: A Book Drive for the UP CAL DECL
Please join us in helping: Many of our friends and colleagues lost books, personal mementos, artworks, even bodies of their own work in the fire that struck the UP Faculty Center. We are collecting books for the English Department. Copies of canon works, literary classics, popular classics, books on teaching and writing creative nonfiction, fiction, literature, grammar, language, and so on are very welcome.
We’re in touch with a few faculty members–who are understandably in shock and grieving right now–and we’ll make sure they get your donations. PM us here.
If you’re from another affected department (Speech/Theater, European Languages, Filipino, Art Studies, Social Studies, PolSci, History), please do start a collection for them as well. They will need it. Thank you

Help the Department of Art Studies build their Library again!

8. Ugly Mug MNL
Mugs for P150 each. 50% of the proceeds will be donated towards the rehabilitation of FC

9. Calligraphy Workshops MNL

10. Pagtulungan sa UP – an Event Page

Pagtulungan sa UP,
Yung mabuting klase ng pagtulungan, ang pakikipagtulungan, kabayanihan.
Ito’y para sa mga mga nasunugan sa faculty center sapagkat nangangailangan sila ng tulong at suporta nating lahat.
11. Sagip Readings – an Event Page
Dahil isang malaking kawalan ng mga koleksyon ng ating mga guro ang natupok.. Ito ay isang super kompilation project para sa pagpundar ng panibagong koleksyon ng readings. Kung mayroon pa kayong mga kopya ng readings na ginamit sa ating mga klase. At wiling ibigay sa departamento. Lalo na yung mga “sobrang luma at memorabilla” level na pinaphotocopy ng mga sir at maam natin para maging readings sa klase. Mga tipong alam nating, sila ang nagpundar para magkakopya nito at maibahagi sa ating mga estudyante. Time to give back kila ser at mam.

15. Dropbox Drive by May Anne Soriano
I have a Dropbox account (with 50.38GB space) which i converted to a database.. so anyone who wants to contribute scanned/soft copies (word, pdf, .ppt ect.) of their course outlines, and other reading materials, they can upload it there. some already uploaded their files. i’m also currently adding mine. i hope this database can help the CAL/CSSP community. – May Anne Soriano
