Readers, Make Your Voices Heard – Vote for the 2013 Filipino Reader’s Choice Awards!

Filipino Readers' Choice Awards

When in Manila, readers matter! But how do we make our voices count? Why, let’s vote for our favorite Philippine-published titles to win in the 2013 Reader’s Choice Award !

The Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards returns for its second straight year, engaging the Filipino reading public in honoring our own author and books.

An initiative of the Filipino Book Bloggers Group, the Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards debuted at the 2nd Filipino Reader Conference in 2012, and was established to develop awareness and appreciation of Philippine literature, recognize the reader’s role in creating the meaning and experience of a literary work, and give the readers a voice in the Philippine book industry.

How to vote

  • Vote for your favorite books among the nominees in the eight award categories.
  • One vote or title per category, one ballot per email address. Multiple votes using one email address will not be counted.
  • You need to click one button per category for your vote to be submitted. If you have no vote for a specific category, you may select the “Skip” button.
  • The ballot has 4 pages, so make sure you go through all of them. Your vote is not submitted until you click the Submit button and get the confirmation.

Voting ends on September 3, 2013. After the voting period, the Filipino Readers Choice Awards committee will then come up with a shortlist of finalists for the awards, based on the tally of votes sent in by readers. Top nominations per category will be included in the shortlist.

Shortlisted entries will be announced on the Filipino ReaderCon website. Winners will  be announced at the 3rd Filipino ReaderCon on November 9, 2013.

Winning authors and publishers will receive an award, and the right to use the Filipino Readers Choice Awards seal on their books.
