READ: Graduate Posted Touching Message to Her Father Whom She Described as the “man of dignity”

Every year, we come across heaps of inspiring and encouraging stories about students who prove education is essential.

Having said that, another uplifting story was shared on Facebook: another graduate who was proud of her father whom she described as the “man of dignity” and who works 24/7.

Her name is Love Ramos (Diwata). She graduated as “Dean’s Lister” from the Lyceum of the Philippines.

Aside from thanking his father, she also extends her gratitude to her mother, friends, and mentors, for successfully graduating this year.

On her message shared on Facebook, she said that her father sold hamburgers and siomai for sixteen (16) years. She was indeed proud to tell everyone that her father was the “man behind her success.”

Let me cut to the chase and let you read her inspiring and touching message now. See below story:

“From Seeds, gaining Roots to Fruits”

16 years din syang nagtyaga sa paglalako ng hamburger at siomai simula Tunasan hanggang Poblacion minsan hanggang Putatan, and I am proud to tell the whole world that this is the man behind my success. He is the man who works 24/7, umulan man o umaraw para lang makapagbenta ng madami at hindi uuwing hindi ubos ang paninda to sustain our educational needs. He is the the mainitin ulo yet malambing na papa. He is the first man in my life, my first love and is willing to comfort me lalo na nung first heartbreak ko. ???? He is a man of dignity na nagturo sakin ng prinsipyo na “kapag nasa tama ka, dapat ipaglaban mo”.

Also, thank you to my mama para sa malikhain nyang isip at talent sa masarap na pagluluto. She is the woman behind the masarap na Siomai at Hamburger sama nyo na yung kinaaadikan nyong grahamballs ????. You’re really a good partner for patiently being with papa and for taking care of us. For being there in the morning to wake me up. For being there when I got home. Her presence is enough. She is a nagger yet supportive mama, na walang maggawa kapag naalis ako hahaha. She has a great trust for me, and so as I. At sa sobrang tiwala nya, di nya naisip na ilipat ako ng public school, na madalas hindi naiintindihan ng iba pero mas naniniwala sya na kaya ko, kaya namin.

Salamat sa LPU and its professors for giving me the opportunity, especially for choosing me to compete nationally.

Salamat! More power for your bussinesses.

Super thank you po!

Sa churchmates ko na palagi din nandyan to support me morally and sometimes financially. You’re all God’s gift to me!

Dahil dito kami naging matatag. I can say, that I am far more blessed than any other child cause I gain a simple yet happy, loving and supportive family.

I don’t know why, I am not perfect. I have sinned but still with God, He always provide me the right and perfect person at the right time. Thank you Papa God! ????

This is just the beginning!

Iloveyou all! God bless us all!
Nagmamahal,
Diwata

She also ended her message with a funny note:

P.S.: Forgive me for this long one, ang tagal ko po itong hinintay ????

Salute to all the graduates of 2016!

“There is a good reason they call these ceremonies “commencement exercises.” Graduation is not the end; it’s the beginning.” – Orrin Hatch
