San Miguel Corporation President Ramon Ang and his wife, Tessie, sadly announced the passing of their son, Jomar Ang. They said in an official statement that the younger Ang died peacefully on Black Saturday, April 11. He was 26.

They described him as dutiful, loving, and kind-hearted son, brother, and a loyal and dedicated friend to many.

While going through this moment filled with grief, Ramon Ang has been consistent in providing aid to affected communities due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Prior to his son’s death, Ramon even expressed his support for the extension of the enhanced community quarantine even if that can affect business and livelihood.
“We can make money again but life, once you lose it, it’s gone forever. So between life and money, I’d choose life,” he said.
