RAMEN BAR‘s New Dishes Continue To Delight Customers in Robinsons Magnolia

When in Manila and craving for a hot bowl of noodles on a cold November night, head on to Ramen Bar! Ramen Bar serves huge bowls of, ahem, ramen, that they actually call Big Bowls 🙂 One serving of Ramen Bar noodles is big enough for you and your buddy; but, if you are as good an eater as my friends and I are, each one orders his own bowl.

Ramen Bar’s BestSeler: R.B.S.#1 (Php 380)
Soy-infused tonkotsu ramen topped with egg, seaweed, scallions, chasyu and fish cake

What I loved most in the Classic selection is the R.B.S. #1, the soup itself already tastes like you’re eating meat. Ramen Bar’s R.B.S.#1 lives up to its name as being the #1 ramen bowl because all the tasty ingredients are in this bowl; tamago, fish cake, nori, negi, chasyu (sliced pork) and kakuni (braised pork belly). A meal on its own.

When dining, Manilans order appetizers, main course, dessert and drinks. We do what any Manilan does when we ordered at Ramen Bar. We ordered four kinds of appetizers before we’ve even seen the actual size of the bowl our ramen will be in. Lucky for us, our Ramen bowls came only a few minutes after the appetizers were served so we were able to control ourselves and leave the better portion of our appetite for the Big Fight. It was so tempting to finish off the Spicy Kakuni Buns but I wanted to try out all the ramen we picked out.

Meat lovers, this new ramen is perfect for you – generous portions of expensive marinated pork that was soft-simmered. Yum!

Calpis Soda (Php 100) – yakult taste 🙂

Surprisingly, we were able to try out everything on our table. The Yakiniku Beef, Karaage and Ebi Buns were highly satisfactory, even my kids enjoyed them! We sampled Ramen Bar’s new addition to the ramen selections. The new selections used both chicken and pork broth. Shoyu 2.0 is the bestseller among them all; it’s lightness will keep you coming back for more. For my friends who are already pros when it comes to ramen, Kakuni King Ramen, which has a stronger, meatier taste than Shoyu 2.0, is a winner. The Calpis Soda is a good complement to the wonderful meal we had. Calpis Soda is a milk flavored soda from Japan which tastes like Yakult.

I’m definitely going back to Ramen Bar to try out the other Big Bowls we weren’t able to experience tonight!
