Miss Universe is ready to settle her taxes in the country!
Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach said she was willing to pay her tax obligations on her earnings as Miss Universe, local reports have it.
Queen Pia says that she has never missed paying taxes, and that she would continue to do so once she starts working in the States.
The Filipina beauty queen who ended a 42-year drought of Miss Universe titles in the country reportedly has to pay more than 4 million in taxes, according to news reports!
Pia however, insisted that she should not be taxed for the much-coveted Miss Universe crown, estimated at $300,000 worth, as the crown is on loan to her as the reigning Miss Universe, which she has to return at the end of her reign.
Lawmakers are mulling over a resolution exempting the most beautiful woman in the universe from paying taxes. The resolution would also congratulate Pia on her win, and bestow upon her the title “Ambassador of Goodwill.”
