PWR Live: Manila Madness

PWR Live: Manila Madness

After the groundbreaking events that transpired on February 20 at PWR Vendetta (including the country’s first ever inter-gender match along with a massive PWR title change just to name a few), Philippine Wrestling Revolution is bringing back PWR Live and they’re taking the show on the road. In a huge announcement by PWR General Manager, Mr. Sy, we now know that Philippine Wrestling Revolution will kick off a series of tours in different locations to start catapulting this young professional wrestling promotion into the national light and do they have one heck of a card lined up for their maiden voyage which will be held on March 5 at the Tanduay Covered Court in Legarda St., Manila.

PWR-LIVE-Manila-Madness-SANDATA-APOCALYPSESANDATA vs. The Apocalypse

Fresh off his first win ever in Philippine Wrestling Revolution, SANDATA will now face his next big challenge at PWR Live in the form of PWR’s resident monster, The Apocalypse. The Apocalypse, who is still seething from the return of the man he took out half a year ago, Kanto Terror, will surely look to punish SANDATA and will look to focus his anger on the man from Kanto Tinio street after he’s done dealing with the masked PWR wrestler. The Apocalypse should not take SANDATA lightly, however because the luchador from the South will definitely bring the fight.

PWR-LIVE-Manila-Madness-REDERICK-IDOLRederick Mahaba vs. James “IDOL” Martinez

It’s a PWR Vendetta rematch! Rederick Mahaba will once again look to get his first ever win in PWR against the leader of The Network, James “IDOL” Martinez. The Intimate Warrior of PWR would have already grabbed his first ever win at PWR Vendetta, however, a timely interference from the man knows as “The Machine” Mavericc Knight dropped Mahaba and secured the win for IDOL. Will The Network’s linchpin once again come out on top or will Rederick Mahaba’s heart lead his way to victory?

PWR-LIVE-Manila-Madness-BEERPROMDIThe Return of BEER PROMDI

After months of being on the sideline due to an eye injury caused by The Apocalypse, Kanto Terror made his triumphant return at PWR Vendetta to save his Beer Promdi tag team partner, Mark D. Manalo, from the hands of the same man that took him out for half a year. Now, at PWR Live, we will not only see the in-ring return of Kanto Terror but we will also be seeing the reunion of PWR’s most beloved tag team, Beer Promdi! Will the lovable duo of Kanto Terror and Mark D. Manalo have a successful outing or will we see someone crash this much awaited reunion?

PWR-LIVE-Manila-Madness-TAG-TEAM-MATCHJake De Leon & Ralph Imabayashi vs. The Royal Flush (Bryan Leo & Main Maxx)

This is a match that will serve as a direct fallout from the events of PWR Vendetta. “The Senyorito” Jake De Leon defended his Path of Gold Trophy from the “Perfect 10”of the Royal Flush, Main Maxx, while “Classical” Bryan Leo defeated Ralph Imabayashi to become the first ever 2-time PWR champion. There is certainly no love lost in this tag team as the Royal Flush has been constant thorns in the side of JDL and Imabayashi just as much as JDL and Imabayashi have been thorns in the side of the Royal Flush. Suffice to say, Bryan Leo and Main Maxx will have the teamwork advantage as both have been in numerous tag team matches while this will be the first time JDL and Imabayashi ever team up. What these two former PWR champions lack in chemistry, however, they make up for in their heart and disdain for the Royal Flush. Will the Royal Flush once again assert their dominance and come out on top or will the son of a haciendero and the half-Filipino half-Japanese sensation pick up the big win?

PWR-LIVE-Manila-Madness-PHX-MatchBombay Suarez vs. Chris Panzer vs. “The Social Media Sinister” Ken Warren (c): THREE-WAY MATCH FOR THE PHX CHAMPIONSHIP

In a blockbuster announcement that Mr. Sy made during PWR Vendetta, we will be seeing the PHX Champion, Ken Warren, defend his title against not one, but two opponents: the leader of the Panzer Army, Chris Panzer, and the current MyPW Extreme Division champion, Bombay Suarez. Chris Panzer and Bombay Suarez have both gone on to represent the Philippines in Malaysia to fight for the opportunity to bring back gold to the country but “The Social Media Sinister” was not too impressed. Ken Warren berated Bombay and Panzer for choosing to chase titles overseas while making the claim that the only championship that matters is the PHX championship because he’s the one that wears it. This slandering and badmouthing from Ken Warren may have led to Mr. Sy’s decision to give him this “reward” for PWR Live. Not only will this mark the first time that the PHX championship is defended in a three-way match but this will also mark the termination of the Philippine Hybrid X division’s 180 lb. weight limit which means that the PHX division will truly know no limits. At PWR Live, will we see a new PHX champion rise or will Ken Warren show everyone just how much the PHX title really means to him?
