I can’t wait to tell you all about this newest remittance service which my family recently started using….. it’s called  PurePadala: A product developed by Puregold and GCASH, wherein instead of sending a normal money remittance from abroad, an OFW (sender) will avail of Puregold Purepadala (Electronic GC) for his/her family’s benefit to shop for groceries at any Puregold outlet in the Philippines via POS terminal/Cashier.
Due to increasing shipping costs, security issues plus the long wait we have to endure before our packages arrive, my family simply got fed-up with the usual system and decided to find a better, safer and faster way to send remittance here in Manila.
It all started when I saw this video on my Facebook wall….

Here’s the confirmation SMS I received from Puregold informing me about the P5,000 my relatives sent for grocery shopping. I was told that I had to use the full amount when I shop, so I listed down all the items we needed at home and made sure it will all sum up to P5,000.
