PUP’s 14th AdCongress: BATO BOTO PICK Seminar

BATO BOTO PICK Print Ad

Heat in politics is getting started as the day for the most awaited 2016 Presidential Election comes closer and closer. Though we still got few more months before this event, different political candidates are now making their own move for this phenomenal occasion which everyone has been waiting to witness and be a part of. As for the first episode of its series are faces of candidates posted on public walls, speeches heard on radios, promising words pinned on social media and  stories of persuasion aired on televisions ranging from scary to desperate.

As one of the utmost preferred gimmicks of politicians, Political Advertisement has aroused a considerable concern for every Filipino, especially during election season. It develops diverse impressions that are bound to win the trust and vote of the people, equivalent to winning the position. True enough, Political Ad is a necessity in the fate of a political candidate. However, the use of it could be as crucial as gaining a point in a bato-bato-pick game – it’s either you win or they win. But really, how powerful are political ads in election? How can it make or break the chance of a political candidate to win their battle?

These questions will surely be answered as Advertising and Public Relations (ADPR) students of Polytechnic University of the Philippines take us to an early tour to this field of political election. This coming December 10, 2015 BADPR 4-1S a.k.a. Bang1s presents a seminar entitled, “BATO-BOTO PICK: Makalalamang Ka Ba?
