Now on its fifth year of HIV and AIDS advocacy, Project Headshot Clinic (HSC) intensifies the use of distinctive profile photos on social networking sites to shout out the netizens’ support for HIV prevention and stigma reduction.
For their fifth year HSC will present Unite 2012.
Niccolo Cosme, founder of HSC and a celebrity and fashion photographer, is convening Headshot Clinic “Unite” 2012, which will bring together advocates from across the world in support of the UNAIDS vision of “Zero new HIV infections, Zero Discrimination and Zero AIDS-related deaths“. This will be the fifth exhibit by the said photographer who has captured the attention of the online world with his distinctive visual imagery. In December 2008 he created a buzz with HSC’s “Aware”. An exhibit that expressed support to Wanggo Gallaga, one of Niccolo’s friends who has tested positve for HIV.

HSC’s Unite 2012 brings together a wide range of people who are passionate about their advocacy on HIV and AIDS — celebrities, political leaders, people living with HIV, bloggers, artists and other personalities. This year’s online exhibit will feature friends and supporters from the Philippines, US (San Francisco and New York), Australia (Melbourne) and Italy (Rome and Florence) — all of whom are united in calling for personal as well as collective action on HIV.
A photoshoot and media launch was held at Mango Tree (BGC) last October 24th.
When In Manila, one of the top life and style website in the country, is one of the media partners of HSC for this advocacy and sent 25 out of its many writers and contributors at the media launch and photoshoot at Mango Tree at BGC last October 24th. Also present at the shoot was WIM’s head editor Vince Golangco and Managing Editor Mae Ilagan.

All Headshot Clinic photos will be released online and will be used as primary display photos on social networking sites on World AIDS Day which is on December 1. On that day, all advocates will be united with themed headshots for a world responding affirmatively to HIV and AIDS.
