The third installment of the hit movie “Pitch Perfect” is on the way, Anna Kendrick confirmed on her Instagram account.
Both Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will return for Pitch Perfect 3, which is a sequel to box office hit Pitch Perfect 2. The second installment gained about $70.3 million during its opening weekend.
Kendrick plays Beca, one of the leaders of the Bellas, while Wilson plays Fat Amy, a a comedic and eccentric member of the a cappella group.
Elizabeth Banks, who played Gail Abernathy-McKadden in the film, directed Pitch Perfect 2. It is still not confirmed if she will be directing the next installment.
In Pitch Perfect 2, a Pinoy band called “The Filharmonic” had an appearance in the movie. Gab Valenciano also appeared in the Pitch Perfect 2 music video.
Pitch Perfect 3 is slated for release on July 21, 2017.
