Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the country’s bet for the Miss Universe 2015 crown won the title!!!
Ariadna Guttierez, Miss Colombia, won first runner-up. Meanwhile, Olivia Jordan, Miss USA, was crowned second runner-up.
When the pageant was down to the final 3, the following question was asked to each of them. The surprise judge were their fellow contestants.
Why should you be the next Miss Universe?
Pia Wurtzbach was the last to answer and she said, “To be the Miss Universe is both an honor and responsibility. I will use my voice to influence the youth and raise awareness on causes like HIV.”
She ended her answer with, “I want to show the world — rather the universe — that I am confidently beautiful with a heart.”
The Miss Universe 2015 coronation night was held on Sunday, December 20 (Monday, December 21, Manila) at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
The show was hosted by Emmy Award-winning TV personality and comedian Steve Harvey with actress Roselyn Sanchez.
The panel of judges include Olivia Culpo, Emmitt Smith, Niecy Nash, and Perez Hilton.
