A portion of a building in Makati City collapsed on Thursday, authorities said.
A part of the SMDC Jazz Mall building in Nicanor Garcia Street collapsed. No serious casualties were reported but vehicles were said to be damaged.

SMDC said in a statement on Facebook that “the facade wall of the parking level at Jazz Mall sustained damages that caused its outer slab to collapse to the driveway.”
“As a safety precaution, residents were directed to stay near [the] metropolitan avenue,” the post added.
