Another pageant trophy for the Philippines!
As this year’s Miss United Continents 2016, 23-year-old Jeslyn Santos did not only bring home the Philippines its first crown from the pageant, she’s the first Asian winner!
Jeslyn beat other candidates from around the world at the coronation night held at the Palacio de Cristal in Guayaquil, Ecuador last Saturday, September 24.
When asked on how to unite the countries of the world, she impressed the judges with an answer in Spanish!
“We are one if we act and think as one. We should not treat each other as strangers and competitors but as brothers and sisters. Although great oceans and land divide us, love always unites us.”
Jeslyn also joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2014 and 2016 prior to her win.
