PH Ranks 41 Out of 127 in List of Countries Where Gay Men are Happiest

 

Out of 127 countries surveyed, the Philippines ranks 41 in the list of countries where gay men are happiest.

The survey was conducted by PlanetRomeo, an Amsterdam-based gay dating website, and  the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Germany. The survey asked 115,000 gay men from around the world their country’s thoughts on homosexuality, their public behavior, and their satisfaction with life.

Out of the 115,000 participants, 4,947 Filipinos joined the survey. In total, the Philippines ranked 41 in the list.

Iceland was ranked as the number one country where gay men are happiest, while Uganda was named the worst.

Joining Iceland are Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Uruguay, Canada, Israel, Netherlands, Switzerland and Luxembourg. The ten worst countries are Kazakhstan, Ghana, Cameroon, Iran, Nigeria, Iraq, Kyrgyztan, Ethiopia, Sudan and Uganda.

In Southeast Asia, Thailand ranked the highest at 16th, while Brunei ranked the lowest at 96.
