The Philippine Madrigal Singers won at the 64th International Choral Competition in Arezzo, Italy. This win qualifies the group for the European Grand Prix scheduled in 2017.
They posted the following photo on their Facebook page with caption, “Para sa bayan, sa iyo Ma’am OA at sa ating Panginoon!”
Chris Millado, vice president and artistic director of the Cultural Center of the Philippines also shared about this on his Facebook page. He said:
BREAKING NEWS: The Philippine Madrigal Singers win the Grand Prix in the 64th International Choral Competition in Arezzo, Italy qualifying them for the European Grand Prix in Tolosa, Spain in 2017. The Philippine Madrigal Singers have won the European Grand Prix twice. If they are successful in their bid in Tolosa in 2017 this will make them the only choir in the world to win the Grand Prix three times! Mabuhay ang Philippine Madrigal Singers!
