SM City Taytay conducted a series of pawsome activities made especially for pets through the first ever ‘Pet Camp’ from January 20 to Feb 4, 2018 held at SM Pet Park. The Pet Camp was a project for the SM Pet Club that aims to give pawrents and furbabies an exciting experience of pet education and fashion.
The first day of the Pet Camp was all about was about Nutrition and Pet Training. A health talk was conducted by Dr. Rabara to ensure that pawrents have the proper knowledge on what to and whatnots when it comes to their pet’s diet.
Philippine Pet Fashion Icon, Miss Bernie Alfonso, graced the second day of the camp by teaching and sharing some tips and hacks on dressing up our pets.
She even has a fashion demonstration from turning an old human sweater into a fancy but comfy wear for a dog. After the demo, she instilled in the pawrents that they should always prioritize safety and never compromise comfort in dressing up their furbabies. After that, the pets were then asked to ramp on the runway wearing their fave outfits for a photography class with blogger and pet photographer Ms. Denzel Eileen.
The third and final activity day of the camp was a Pawlympics and Pets Playday. The organizers of the event made use of the built-in agility courses at the SM Pet Park to the games that were played. Owners had a fun time bonding with their pets with various games such a pet relay, fastest eating challenge, longest stay challenge etc.
The Pet Camp culminated through a Pet Graduation ceremony where the pets who excelled during the course of the camp were given honors. Special awards were also given for the winners on the Pawlmpics event. All of the pawrents and furbabies went home happy with lots of pet loots and of course a certificate for finishing the 4-day camp.
We will be conducting another batch of Pet Camp but this time to spread the fun, we will be doing it across 3 SM Supermalls – SM Center Angono (Aug 11), SM City East Ortigas  (Aug 04) and of course from where it started, SM City Taytay (Aug 26). Each activity will be spread out on each mall and will be culminated at SM City Taytay in time for the first year anniversary of the SM Pet Park.
