According to reports, the PBA Governors board has approved the sale of the Barako Bull franchise to Pheonix Petroleum, the same company that tried to acquire the franchise back on 2011.

Reports also said that the entire member of the Barako Squad will be absorbed into the franchise.

The management of the franchise will be transferred to the new owners as soon as possible, and will begin playing in the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup on February.

Coach Koy Banal would still serve as the team’s coach, while the current Bull roster will still be playing for the new franchise.

Think the new franchise will be better?
