Palawan continues to be one of the favorite islands of travelers. This has been proven by the readers of Travel+Leisure magazine who voted Palawan as one of the top islands in the world.
This 2019, Palawan scored 90.87, which is a jump from last year’s sixth place and score of 90.04. In 2013 and 2017, the island was voted asthe best, as well. Other islands on the list include Bali, Maldives, and Milo, just to name a few.
According to Travel+Leisure, El Nido’s eco-friendly properties help boost the island’s standing on international lists. El Nido was also a part of the best beaches in Asia by TripAdvisor’s 2019 Traveler’s Choice Awards.
Other than Palawan, Boracay and Cebu have been part of Best Islands in Asia lists. Cebu landed seventh with 87.09, while Boracay landed in ninth with 86.90.
Palawan continues to progress and get more tourists as places like San Vicente and Nacpan are being discovered by both locals and foreigners.
