Palawan has once again been named as the best island in the world!

Palawan-Philippines

The Philippine island has landed the top of Travel + Leisure’s list of Top 10 Islands in the World, beating out world-famous destinations like Santorini (5th), Maui (6th), and Bali (10th)! Palawan was rated with a score of 93.15, edging out South Carolina’s Hilton Head Island, which scored 90.83.

Boracay, meanwhile, landed on the third spot, with a score of 89.67.

Travel + Leisure had this to say about Palawan:

There’s nothing quite like immersing yourself in the natural wonders of this Philippine archipelago, which many of our readers described as “rustic,” “romantic,” “affordable,” and “relaxing.” As one fan succinctly wrote, “It’s the single most beautiful place on earth. ” Palawan, which consists of an eponymous main island, in addition to some 1,800 surrounding islets and island outposts, is a repeat winner on the list, first scoring the No. 1 spot in 2013. And with its verdant mountains, a five-mile-long underground river, limestone caves, and spectacular scuba diving, its appeal is as clear as its turquoise waters.

Rounding up the top 10 are the following:

10. Bali, Indonesia

9. Hvar and the Dalmatian Islands, Croatia

8. Ischia, Italy

7. Kauai, Hawaii

6. Maui, Hawaii

5. Santorini, Greece

4. Galápagos Islands, Ecuador

3. Boracay Island, Philippines

2. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina

1. Palawan, Philippines
