Typhoon Dodong (international name: Noul) hasn’t even made landfall yet but state weather bureau PAGASA has already placed areas under storm signals. In its 11AM advisory today, PAGASA said that Dodong is “estimated to make landfall over the coast of Isabela-Cagayan area by Sunday early morning (May 10), will exit the landmass via Aparri, Cagayan by Sunday afternoon (May 10) and will exit PAR by Monday evening (May 11).”
As of its 11AM advisory, Dodong has maintained its strength as it approaches the eastern coast of Luzon, “packing maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph.” It also released the list of Public Storm Warning Signals (PSWS):
