Even the People’s Champ himself can’t believe how much ticket prices for the much-awaited May 2 mega fight have skyrocketed!!
According to Yahoo! News, Manny Pacquiao expressed his disbelief at how the most expensive ticket to the show, a $10,000 (P400,000) ringside seat is being sold for more than $87,000, or roughly P3.4 million in the black market!
The report says that ticket sales to the public will start this weekend, but only a limited number will be sold! The $10,000 tickets are also not available to the public, and only tickets priced at $7,500, $5,000, $3,500, $2,500 and $1,500 will be sold.
Prices for pay-per-view in the United States have also gone up as well, with a suggested retail price of $89.95, which can go up to as much as $99.95 including surcharge for high definition viewing.
Well…. thank goodness for free cable, then?
