OMG! Tom Holland Confirms That Spider-Man Was Actually In ‘Iron Man 2’!

It’s a widely accepted fact that Spider-Man/Peter Parker was first introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War. But because of the beautiful intellect of Marvel fans, many have speculated that this may actually not be the first time we’ve seen Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A fan theory conspires that Peter Parker was actually in Iron Man 2.

In the movie, there was a scene where a little boy in an Iron Man mask courageously faces a bad giant robot. The heroic Iron Man then swoops in at the last minute to save the boy, saying to him, “Nice work, kid.”

According to the theory, this boy just might be a young Peter Parker. He’s the right age, he’s a fan of Iron Man, and he lives right where the Expo was happening in that scene.

It all sounds very convincing, doesn’t it? Well, all speculations have come to an end as Tom Holland himself, who plays Spider-Man in the MCU, confirms this theory.

Tom just told Huffington Post that the boy in Iron Man 2 is indeed Peter Parker.

He adds, “I can confirm that as of today. I literally had a conversation with Kevin Feige only 20 minutes ago. Maybe I’ve just done a big, old spoiler, but it’s out there now.”

Tom, like all of us, thinks that Spider-Man being present in the MCU long before we knew he’d be coming is super cool.

Now, we just can’t wait for Spider-Man: Homecoming next week!
