OMG: Left Shark from Katy Perry’s Viral Super Bowl Performance Has Revealed Himself!

Left Shark Katy Perry Super Bowl Performance

Well, we all know Katy Perry’s performance at the 2015 Super Bowl was incredible, but what was even more fascinating and memorable was the one shark dancing on her left. While right shark dutifully performed the choreography, a seemingly lost left shark flailed goofily on one side.

Such moment rewarded the ‘Teenage Dream” performance extreme attention across the globe, immediately going viral and breaking the Internet. There was one catch, though. Left Shark chose to remain a mystery for three years, refusing to talk to news outlets. Except, of course, he did reveal himself on Instagram. It’s just that not many people were able to find out about it.

This time, however, we’re very much sure who the man behind left shark is. Without further ado, let us introduce you to Bryan Gaw a.k.a. Left Shark. Check out one of his Instagram photos below:

Well hey there ?

In an interview with NPR, Gaw finally broke his silence about the viral Super Bowl moment. He explained that the reason Left Shark was dancing like that was that his role “involved some freedom of expression.”

So there’s a set choreography,” he told the news outlet. “There’s also what’s called free-style choreography, or, like, you get to move around or play your character as a dancer. … I’m in a 7-foot blue shark costume. There’s no cool in that. So what’s the other option? Well, I’m gonna play a different character.”

Apparently, Gaw’s character was an “imperfect underdog.” He nailed it and it was what made him a star. It is said that Gaw had been one of Katy Perry’s dancers for five years and now working as a hair stylist at Mare Salon in West Hollywood.
