Oktoberfest Manila 2013 Promises to Overflow with Booze, Authentic Bavarian Cuisine and Loads of Fun

Oktoberfest Manila 2013 Beer drinking game The beer drinking game was a lot of fun–for us watching. As much as I love beer, I don’t think I can gulp down a mug of beer like that and still walk in a straight line.

Oktoberfest Manila 2013 winner of beer drinking gameProps to this lovely lady who won the challenge! The guys must feel very embarrassed.

Oktoberfest Manila 2013 participants of 2nd gameAnother game involved learning some German words. Glad I wasn’t a contestant because I’d need lots of tissue for my bleeding nose after the challenge is over.

Oktoberfest Manila 2013 is guaranteed to rock

We’ve been given a taste of what’s going to happen on the actual event, which happens on October 18 and 19 at the newly renovated Harbor Garden Tent. On those days, expect overflowing beer and lots of authentic Bavarian cuisine, like the ones served during the launch, and lots of merrymaking as organizers will be bringing in the Bavarian Sound Express to play at the event.

It’s definitely going to be a true party since these parties are known to get everyone up and dancing to  merry tunes. You’ll be forced to loosen up and party like never before. And if what happened at the launch is any indication of what’s to come, then we know that it’ll surpass last year’s record:

28,548 liters of beer

3,000 participants

260 kilograms of pork knuckles

200 kilograms of Sauerkraut

950 kilograms of German sausages

What else can we expect from Oktoberfest Manila 2013? Lots of fun and games and amazing prizes in their raffle draws. There’s over 4 million pesos worth of prizes that include a round-trip business class ticket to Germany from Etihad, weekend drives with overnight stay in Baguio from Mercedes Benz, Canon DSLR cameras, iPads, laptops, and clothes from Levis and Puma.

Female football fanatics will shriek in delight at the sight of some members of the Azkals on Saturday. The Bloomfields will also bring the house down with retro music on Sunday.

All these promise one thing: Oktoberfest Manila 2013 is going to rock like no other.
