I was amazed when I discovered these bento treats made by Ms.Kat Ishizuka. They are so fun to look at, you will have a hard time taking the first bite!

Out of her love for cooking (and baking—will get to that later!), Kat got inspired to create these wonderful treats because her 2-year-old son isn’t fond of eating solid food. As a previous teacher to Japanese students, she got amazed by the bento boxes kids would bring to school. She saw that there was so much effort and creativity put into each meal, so she tried it out herself and came up with a bunch of cute and too-good-to-eat bento boxes! (Her son, of course, now enjoys his eating time!)

Kat decided to launch oh, Bento! earlier this year with her very supportive husband. To start, Kat created her own Facebook page to market her creations. Soon enough, her friends started to book her for parties and since she included a leaflet in each meal, other people started to book her, too!
People love and enjoy her unique creations as they bring true smiles to them as they eat their meals.
On her sixth month of running oh, Bento!, Kat felt the need to offer her customers more, so she launched Sweets by oh, Bento! Since she knows that most Filipinos have a sweet tooth, this is the perfect partner for her bento boxes. Sweets! by oh, Bento! offers cupcakes, muffins and even wonderful rainbow cakes!

It’s amazing how Kat did not have any formal schooling when it comes to these creations. Everything she creates is made out of pure love and she always makes sure that she only provides quality ingredients. She also keeps her recipes as healthy as possible for the children. Some of the choices include pasta, rice, bread, karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken), fruits and vegetables, and she’s still adding more to her selections!
oh, Bento! is made-to-order with a one-week lead time. You can suggest your own designs or choose from Kat’s wide range of existing designs. You may also choose the type of food that you want your bentos to be made out of. She only accepts a maximum of 90 boxes per day to ensure the quality of her products, though, so make sure you book these amaaaazing oh, Bento! boxes for your parties and special events ASAP!
