It’s Official: ’13 Reasons Why’ is Getting a Second Season

We definitely saw this one coming! After the worldwide success of the series ’13 Reasons Why’ and the sudden dropout of Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle in the series ‘Riverdale’, we’ve had a hunch that ’13 Reasons Why’ was probably going to be renewed for a second season.

Well, Selena Gomez, who is an executive producer of the show, has just confirmed that Netflix has renewed the show for a second season. “Their story isn’t over. Season 2 of #13ReasonsWhy is coming,” she said in the caption of an Instagram post just a few hours ago. The post currently has almost 5 million views:

Sadly, the post only shows a montage of sets from the show and the 2007 book by Jay Asher that the show is based on doesn’t actually have a sequel, so we don’t really know what to expect from the second season yet. Will it focus on Alex and what led him to make his decision at the end of the first season? Or will it focus on Justin, who left Bryce with a comment that kept us all thinking? Or will it focus on Tyler, who seems to be preparing for something big? Most importantly: will the whole cast be coming back for season 2?

What do you think?
