Building on the tremendous reception of last year’s revolutionary all-day-and-night Halloween Fest, Ocean Park Hong Kong, will again present a new breakthrough by transforming itself into a horror film studio, featuring nine unique experiences at seven haunted attractions that offer a galore of fun and scares all day and night for the price of one ticket!
H14 is the scariest haunted house in 14 years of Ocean Park’s Halloween Fest. Set to evoke your innermost phobia, H14 tests the limits of horror, allowing only the bravest to venture inside. Guests can form a team of 1 to 6 members to enter this blood-drenched madhouse, start a 15-minute customized journey of intensive thrills and spine-tingling scares! Once the lock clicks behind guests in this, it’s up to them to survive their own escape! Find clues and take on challenges that may mean life or death – stay sound as long as possible before losing control and issuing the secret escape signal!
This attraction is sooo intense that guests have to fill-out a check-list of their phobias before going in, as the MAD Doctor inside will make sure you’ll overcome them by the time you get out! I believe the most horrifying for me was when I was locked in a room that was totally black and finding myself entering rooms filled with things I’m afraid of such as worms, hair, blood, heights, you name it, they got it!!! This ride is certainly not for the weak but I swear, this is super fun!!!
Presented for the first time is an ultimate haunted attraction where guests would need to complete a series of tasks within a locked chamber, challenging the limits of the senses and their innermost fears.
Explore the eerie dilapidated public estate from Rigor Mortis LIVE, winner of Best Visual Effects at the Hong Kong Film Awards. As guests pass through the dark corridor, the ghostly twins in flat 2442 are waiting to capture their souls! As guests stumble, crawl and cry out in fear through this darkly atmospheric attraction, masked vampire nurtured by Aunt Mui, who wishes to bring her husband back from the dead, will be chasing from behind…
Rigor Mortis… OMG! This one was super intense as well as the demons were not only appearing from nowhere but also following you from behind!! waaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! The set design was also super realistic that I really felt I was in the movie itself!
Enter Asia’s first Doraemon-themed Halloween party, featuring the beloved Doraemon’s favourite gadgets such as “Time Machine” and “Anywhere Door”, guests can experience along with a fun and fascinating adventure with Doraemon.
Whiskers Harbour has transformed into Asia’s first super-sized Doraemon-themed Halloween kingdom! Build a photobook of memories with Doraemon and friends in Halloween costumes on a fun and fascinating adventure! Start by looking inside Doraemon House of Gadgets– a must-visit attraction. Try the Time Machine, or use the Anywhere Door for a new realm of fun! Guests can also change their perspective at the Mirror Maze! Exclusive Doraemon goodies with Halloween themes are available for guests to bring home with them the happiness!
Between terrors and excitements, guests may need a trip to the doctor. At this Chinese Mad-icine Hall, a terrible doctor has gone mad in his obsession with finding an elixir of eternal youth, and is using his patients in his evil experiments! Guests will not only find human organs floating in his medicine cabinet, but also an acupuncture table covered in corpses. Guests will have to escape through the mortuary maze and cadavers before they fall prey to his diabolical treatment for “immoral eternity”!
Make the Most Out of Your Visit at the “Transforming Attractions”
“Transforming Attractions”, introduced for the first time this year, will offer guests different experiences depending on whether they are visiting during daytime or at night. At 5pm on each event day, the music and lighting at the Park will change, marking the start of the frightful evening. Night-time ghouls will also appear to intensify the terrifying atmosphere. Two transforming attractions, which offer fun-tastic experiences for the entire family until 5pm on each event day will be transformed into the most frightful haunted areas for the evening.
A transforming attraction is themed on the forest, changing from Forest of Legends during the day to Forest of Doom in the evening. In both incarnations, guests can collect unique commemorative seals on a complementary Ghost Journal at different spots throughout the attraction.
Enter the Forest of Legends, and fairy tales might just come true! This strange Chinese fairyland winds through mysterious caves and towering bamboo as guests seek the mythical characters hiding in the shadows. The nine-tailed fox will perform an ancient melody at the ancient Chinese mansion. Before starting their journey, guests shouldn’t forget to pick up a Ghost Journal at the entrance to collect seals that mark the places they’ve visited.
Under twilight, many horrible secrets are hidden deep in the Forest of Doom! As guests lose their way, they will be greeted and invited by the long-haired lady in a red dress to her old mansion for the night. But look out – there’s no sleep for the pale bone spirits and giant spiders wandering in the groves, and certainly no sleep for guests…
On your visit to Phantom Studios in the daytime, you will get to join an audition by striking hilarious poses of horror to be captured on camera. The footage can be downloaded via QR code when they exit the attraction. At 5pm, the lighting, music and even the set design will change to reveal a new adventure of terror, thereby transforming the attraction into Horror-wood Studios. After guests leave the attraction, they can review their journey as captured on camera. A selfie video camera is also available for rent – a first for haunted attractions worldwide – so guests can capture and take home their most frightful moments. This attraction is just super duper exciting as you can see yourself star at your very own horror movie!
Be a superstar for a day and walk through the Phantom Studios! Guests will be starred in a sci-fi horror movie with stunning visual effects, and will have to get rid of hungry beasts all around them in an adventurous scene! A devilish director is waiting to cast guests as the leading roles in his micro-film. Guests are most welcomed to share the film with their friends.
Start a nighttime adventure in Horror-wood Studios with spine-tingling horror movie scenes playing out in sheer darkness and only the dim light of a tiny glow stick on! Watch out for restless spirits waiting at the corners for frightening surprises! Guests’ entire haunted experience is secretly captured by the spooky director, who will broadcast it to the public afterwards. Guests can also pay to borrow a selfie camera# to have the scariest moments captured and revisited at home.
Join the Japanese youkai party at Eerie Nippon Journey in a garden of Edo-period design! A funny kappa (river child) stands ready to greet guests by the pond and lead them into the main house, where karakasa-kozo (umbrella spirit), hitotsume-kozo (one-eyed kid) and other Japanese legends fill the air with laughter from their crazy antics! The enma-daio (King of Hell) has even reserved the best locations in ‘hell’ for guests to take a memento shot!
