Are you a Sinulog lover? Do you love heading to Cebu in January to party with the rest of the people there? I’ve never been to Sinulog, truth be told, but my friends always come back from the festivities year after year raving about the crazy street parties that they went to while I listen in awe like the Tita of Manila that I am.
Well, I hate to break it to you Sinulog lovers, but the Sinulog Foundation, Inc. has announced that establishments will no longer be given street party permits during Sinulog this January 15 to 17, 2016.
Apparently, this has been done to maintain the sanctity of the occasion. (Source: The Philippine Star) Sinulog is, after all, first and foremost a religious festival and the centre of the Santo Niño Catholic celebrations in our country. What do you think about this street party ban?
